Robert & Margaret Layne

Robert L. Layne, 80, and Margaret P. Layne, 59, both residents of Davis Wharf, VA passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Capeville, VA. Robert, a native of Bell's Neck, VA, was the son of the late Robert S. Layne and the late Evelyn Budd Layne and Margaret, a native of Toledo, OH, was the daughter of Lucia Perales of Toledo and the late Benito Perales. Robert was a retired United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer and Margaret was a retired administrative assistant for the Community Services Board, both were members of Living Stones Ministries.

They are survived by six children, Debra A. Anderson and her husband, Lincoln, of Belle Haven, VA, David Sanchez, Jr. and his wife, Lori, of Toledo, David Layne and his wife, Brianna, of Fremont, OH, Raymond Layne of Bellevue, OH, John Layne of Brooklyn, MD, Carrie Drews and her husband, Fred, of Kent, WA; his sister, Carolyn L. Lawson of Quinby, VA; her brothers, Benito Perales and his wife, Blanca, Francisco Perales; her sister, Lucy Perales; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Living Stones Ministries, 4332 Main Street, Exmore, VA with Pastor Janice Arena officiating. Another celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:00 AM at McCord Road Christian Church, 4675 McCord Road, Sylvania, OH with Pastor Benton Cole officiating.
