Robert Savage

Robert Duer Savage, 80, a resident of Stanardsville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Born in Nassawadox, VA, he was the son of the late Charles Sydney Savage and the late Gladys Duer Savage. He was a Carmen for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad, and a member of the CSX Carmens Association.

He is survived by his children, Robert Duer Savage, Jr. of Gloucester, VA, and Sharon Kaye Savage of Stanardsville, VA; a brother, Ralph Thomas Savage (Jennifer), of Heathsville, VA, and sister, Janet Lee Jenkins, of Yorktown, VA; sister-in-law, Jayne S. Savage, of Indian Harbor, FL; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by two brothers, Charles Sydney Savage Jr. and Richard Wharton Savage.

Graveside services will be held at Belle Haven Cemetery on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Joel E Meitz officiating.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 97 Main Street, Stanardsville, VA on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
