Robert R. Smith

Robert Reginald Smith, 91, of Monroe, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, Virginia. A native of Chadron, Nebraska and reared in Alamosa, Colorado, he was the son of the late June Olive Jacobs Smith. Mr. Smith was co-owner with his wife of B & B Productions, a multi-media company. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served as a combat cameraman in WWII and the Korean War. He was very proud of having served aboard the USS Enterprise CV-6.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hartman Smith; two children, Robyn Smith and her husband Bryan Sale of Monroe, and Trebor Smith and his wife Martha Smith of Painter, Virginia; two grandchildren, Zander and Zoe Smith.A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Randolph College, 2500 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24503.
