Roland Leland Waterfield, Jr.

Roland Leland Waterfield, Jr., 70, husband of Bonnie Salisbury Waterfield and a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his home. A native of Pungoteague, he was the son of the late Roland L. Waterfield, Sr. and Isabel Custis Waterfield. He was a retired farmer and a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church. He graduated from Atlantic Christian College where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi. Other than his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey V. Waterfield and his wife Tracey of Quinby, VA; two sisters, Patricia W. Atkinson and her husband, Bill, of Exmore, VA, Suzanne W. Peterson and her husband, Craig, of Exmore, VA; five grandchildren, Cole J., Connor C., and Nicholas Tyson, all of Pungoteague, VA, Samantha Jeanine and Carly Martin Waterfield of Quinby, VA. Mr. Waterfield was predeceased by a daughter, Jeanine W. Tyson and a sister, Isabel W. Otey Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Tom Durrance officiating. A private interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeanine W.
