Rufus "RP" Parke Custis, III

Rufus Parke Custis, III, 76, better known as RP, husband of the late Anne Paige Shreeves Custis and a resident of Chesterfield, VA, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his residence. A native of Marionville, VA, he was the son of the late R. Parke Custis, Jr. and the late Thelma Kelly Custis. He was a retired security guard.
He is survived by four children, Laura Custis Green and her husband, Jeff, of Urbanna, VA, Kelly Custis and his wife, Melissa, of Chester, VA, Elizabeth Grace Custis of Lexington, NC, Robert Custis and his wife, Vivian, of Chester; a sister, Peggy Shank and her husband, Buzz, of Chambersburg, PA; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
