Ruth Northam Custis

Ruth Northam Custis, 98, wife of the late Marvin A. Custis, Jr. and a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nasswadox, VA. A native of Parksley, VA, she was the daughter of the late John L. Northam and the late Mary Emily Parsons Northam. She was a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three children, Wayne Custis and his wife, Rosa Caine, of Belle Haven, VA, Larry Custis and his wife, Cindy, of Pungoteague, Emily Custis Jones of Franktown, VA; a brother, Robert "Bob" Northam of Eastman, GA; ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Rebecca B. Ratliff; her son, Don Custis and her brother, John L. Northam, Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Rob Kelly officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Craddockville United Methodist Church, c/o June Custis, P.O. Box 66, Craddockville, VA 23341.
