Sandra B. Carmine passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, surrounded by love. She was a devoted woman of faith, and a joyful soul whose life was rooted in music, family and her love for the lord.
Born in Quinby, Virginia, to the late Eldred P. Bundick and late Cornelia Turner Bundick. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lescallette; two grandchildren, Andrew Lescalette (Jada) and Celeste Driskell (Michael); and two great grandchildren, Christopher Driskell and Joshua Driskell; a sister, Carol Mitchell (Jimmy), and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Music was one of her greatest joys. Whether singing hymns, playing piano, or the Omnichord, listening to her favorite songs, or simply letting music fill the room. She gained much happiness from music and used that to pass on to others.
Above all else she loved her family deeply. She took great joy in gathering with loved ones and celebrating milestones big and small. Her love extended beyond family. She was true friend to many, known for kind words, genuine presents and attentiveness to all relationships.
Though she will be deeply missed, her life stands as a beautiful testimony of faith, family and community. We find comfort knowing she is now at peace, resting in the presence of the lord she loved so dearly. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00AM at Doughty Funeral Home, with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter and Reverend Tommy Kellam officiating. Interment will follow at Belle Haven Cemetery.
