Steven Paul Burgess, 56, a resident of Eastville, VA, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Exmore, VA, he was the son of Martin L. Burgess Sr. and Mary Simpson Burgess. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Marty Burgess; two sisters, Marianne Scarborough, and Mamie Taylor; four children; and six grandchildren. All services will be private. Memorials may be sent to a charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.doughtyfuneralhome.com Arrangements were made by Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, VA.
