Steven Vanvelzor

Steven L. Vanvelzor, 66, husband of Susan Lucey Vanvelzor and a resident of Jamesville, VA, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, at his residence. A native of Newark, OH, he was the son of the late Leo Vanvelzor and the late Helen Carlisle Vanvelzor. He was a proud graduate of Ohio State University, retired Consumer Advocate for Community Services Board , and member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Angela Vanvelzor Whitehead and her husband, Terry, of Newark,OH, John Price and his wife, Tiffany, of Oak Hall, VA, and Amanda Vanvelzor of Loganville, GA; and five grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to F 5 Rescue, c/o Susan Vanvelzor, Post Office Box 133, Jamesville, Virginia 23398.
