Timothy P. Bend ("Timmy"), 52, of Waynesboro, Virginia, and a native of Pennsylvania and the Eastern Shore of Virginia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 26,2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Anna Judge of Pennsylvania; his mother, Marie Bend of Exmore, Virginia; his brother, John Bend; and his sister, Kimberly Bend.

Timmy is survived by his significant other, Tina Crawford, along with her children and grandchildren; his stepdaughter, Ashley LaRue; and his son, Joseph Bend.

He is also survived by his sisters, Dawn Bradford and Beth Rasmussen and her husband, Elroy Rasmussen.

He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews: Bobby (Megan) Reynolds, Chella (Tim) Stratton, Kimberly Reynolds, Cynthia (Pi) Mohan, Rafeal Palacios, Tricity Bell, Cathleen (Josh) Parker, Jennifer (Dan) Pohl, and Tyler Rasmussen. He is also survived by his great-nieces and great-nephews: Lexie Reynolds, Katelyn Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds, Lindsea Reynolds, Thomas Walker Jr., Jamar Borden, Jaxon Parker, and Luka Parker.

Timmy had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in hiking and kayaking. He enjoyed being around people, laughing, and making others laugh. Whether with friends or family, he had a way of bringing energy into any room and was often known as the life of the party. He especially loved spending time at his local Moose Lodge, where he built many lasting friendships. Exmore Moose Lodge 683 and Waynesboro Moose Lodge 1309.

A proud Penn State alumnus, Timmy carried his quick wit and humor with him throughout his life. Later in life, he developed a particularly close bond with his nephew, Rafeal "Money," whom he loved dearly.

During his time on the Eastern Shore, Timmy worked as a maintenance technician at Perdue in Accomac, where he was known as a hard worker and a dependable presence.

Timmy will be remembered for his laughter, his love for family, and the way he made ordinary moments more fun just by being there. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
