Wallace Odell Widgeon

Wallace Odell Widgeon, 80, a resident of Marionville, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Retreat Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA. A native of Oyster, VA, he was the son of the late William T. Widgeon and the late Katherine Elizabeth Eder Widgeon. He was a retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant and V.F.W. member.

He is survived by four children, Wallace O. Widgeon, Jr. and his wife, Maurine, of Dothan, AL, Bill Widgeon and Paula Champion of Cape Charles, VA, Warren Widgeon and Greg Widgeon, both of California; two sisters, Fannie Belote of Quinby, VA, and Pauline Lewis of Cheriton, VA; a brother, Randolph Widgeon of Willis Wharf, VA; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy W. Hall and a brother, Thomas Widgeon.

A celebration of life service was held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Oyster Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #56, Post Office Box 357, Cheriton, VA 23316.
