William Belote

William Paul Belote, better known as Billy, 72, a resident of Chesapeake, VA, formerly of the Eastern Shore, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Hiram Davis Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. Born August 11. 1953, in Suffolk County, England, to the late Edwin T. Belote and the late Georgia Brady Belote.

He is survived by a brother, David Belote (Barbara) of Cheriton, VA; Nephew, Cory Belote (Lucy) of Attleborough, England; niece, Linda Earp (Donnie) of Martinsburg, WV; two great nieces, Natalie and Madalynne Earp; uncle, John Walter Brady, Jr, (Annie) of Cheriton; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Benjamin Grice Belote and Augusta Reudiguer Belote; and his maternal grandparents, John Walter Brady and Alice Hinman Brady, all of Cheriton.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 2:00PM, at Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Barry Downing officiating. Billy’s honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Marshall, Billy Moore, Walter Brady, David Chandler, Carl Bradford, and John Thomas Parker.
