William Gogolen, Jr

William Edward Gogolen, Jr., 90, husband of Patricia A. Wedekind Gogolen and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his residence. A native of New Jersey, he was the son of the late William Edward Gogolen, Sr. and the late Emily M. Appeld Gogolen. He was a retired Machine Draftsman, could fix anything, enjoyed photography, wood carving, camping, hiking, auctions, and time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 69 years, he is survived by three children, Victoria Mohr (Bruce), Linda Gonska (David), and Jonathan Gogolen (Miggy); eight grandchildren: Derrik Adduce, Andrew Adduce, Gregory Gonska, Lauren Gonska, Daniel Gogolen, Michelle Leroy, Jordan Gogolen, Ethan Gogolen; and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Mathew Gogolen.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1:00PM at Doughty Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2:00PM with Pastor Zack Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, 6350 Center Drive, Suite #102, Norfolk, Virginia 23502 or American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
