William P. Smith

William Parsons Smith, "Pop Pop", 91, husband of Ruth Spady Smith and a resident of Chesterfield, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. A native of Exmore, VA, he was the son of the late Bernard D. Smith and the late Pearl Parsons Smith. He retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia as an accountant and was a United States Army Veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Joan Olgers of Richmond; two granddaughters, Jennifer Marie Olgers and Jessica Carole Olgers, both of Richmond.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 1:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore, VA with Rev. Dr. John M. Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery.
