Patricia Hampton

Patricia Kay Hampton, 89, widow of Eugene R. Hampton, and a longtime resident of Machipongo, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021. A native of Washington state, she was the daughter of the late Max and Ella Merlich. Mrs. Hampton was widely known for her expertise in quilting, sewing and knitting and was a member of the local group “Shore Can Sew.” She also served in the United States Air Force.

Mrs. Hampton is survived by her son Michael Hampton of Commerce City, Colorado, her nephew Max (Darlene) Merlich of Powell Butte, Oregon, and many friends around the United States and the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
