Obituary

Terry Oxendine, 68, a resident of Belle Haven, VA, formerly of Waldorf, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. A native of Lumberton, NC, he was the son of Nora Oxendine of Belle Haven, and the late Margolus Oxendine. He was a computer analyst for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Washington, DC; played semi-pro baseball in Cuba, Fairfax County, MD, and across the United States; and was a baseball coach helping boys to get scholarships to college.

In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by two sisters, Margolane Parker and her husband, Robert, of Onancock, VA; and Sheree Buck and her husband, Gary, of Belle Haven; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Bauters of Finland, and Ian Buck and his wife, Irina, of Belle Haven; and great nephews, Cadeus Buck and Gaius Buck. +

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Accomack Little League, P.O. Box 486, Onancock, Virginia 23417.
