Guy, a native of the Eastern Shore, grew up in Exmore. He graduated from Northampton High School in 1971, served his apprenticeship with Woody Funeral Home in Richmond, graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in 1975. He is President and owner of Doughty Funeral Home, Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home, Shore Vault and Precast Company, Shore Granite Company and Occohannock Crematory. Past Board President of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Eastern Shore, Past President and Board member for the Society of Preservation of Belle Haven Cemetery, member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Capeville Masonic Lodge 107 AF&AM. Guy and his wife Joyce have two children, Megan and Morgan.

Jennifer is a native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania outside Philadelphia.  With no family connections to funeral service, she decided in tenth grade she wanted to be a Funeral Director.  A 1984 graduate of Neshaminy High School in Langhorne, PA, she attended Bucks County Community College before transferring to the Mortuary Science Program at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, New Jersey.  She earned her Certificate of Proficiency in Mortuary Science in 1987 and was licensed in Pennsylvania in 1988.  Jennifer was licensed as a Funeral Director in Virginia in 1999.  She joined the staff of Doughty Funeral Home in September of 2018.  Jennifer and her family discovered the beautiful Eastern Shore of Virginia when they started camping here in the 1970s.  A Majority Member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, she is also a member of Mace Court No. 9 Order of the Amaranth and Westminster Chapter No. 99 Order of the Eastern Star.  Currently a state officer in the Order of the Amaranth, she will be the first Grand Royal Matron from the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is due to take office in February of 2022. Along with her fraternal organizations, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, and counted cross stitch.
